> The Custom Department

Since 1982 (inaugural race of the Boc Challenge won by Philippe Jeantot) the ability to make custom products is part of our job. The Custom team is located in Brittany and incorporates a comprehensive range of technical skills and marine expertise. The team’s main goal is to answer professional skippers needs by developing some specic systems (60’ monohulls, 60’ multi-hulls and mega yachts), so that the yacht’s performance can be improved/maximized.

Custom : a laboratory on the ocean > Custom activity is like what F1 is to the car industry: full size testing in the racing environment. > It allows PROFURL to develop technical and innovative solutions on boats submitted to extreme conditions and intensive use. > The developed solutions are then tested and adapted to high-volume product ranges (manual furling systems). > Understanding of the needs and deniton of specications: objectives, technical constraints, price, delivery time… > Technical and innovative solutions are proposed and developed thanks to the latest computer softwares. > Manufacturing of prototypes and tests at sea.
