utilizes an internal core consisting of linear strands of very high tenacity Spectra 2000 fiber encased in >
® an extremely tight braided Spectra 2000 sheath. All strength in the line is attributed to the core only, with the overbraid’s function limited to keeping the strand bundle together. Since the fibers are linear from the start, there is no continuous ‘stretch’ as found in traditional line, where the braid tightens with use. Any stretch is therefore limited to the elongation of the actual fibers, which is minimal when compared to braided line. This minimized tendency to stretch and long term length stability:- dramatically increases the pilot’s ability to ‘FEEL’ what the kite is doing,
- improves kite responsiveness,- minimizes the need to ‘retune’ the flying line lengths,- reduces the kites instability caused by continuous top (power) line ‘stretching’ Since an internal core bundle of fibers are used, >

-PowerLine resists the tendency to flatten out and when compared to traditional braided line has a very round cross-section. This minimizes the effective diameter and drag. Minimum drag means Maximum performance. The high overbraid angle (almost 90 degrees) allows the overbraid to cushion the internal bundle, effectively self-sleeving the line. Retying and adjusting lines is easy. The tight overbraid does not relax like normal line when tension is removed and for this reason the line does not pick up dirt so there is no wear problem caused by dirt trapped in the braid. Line-life is substantially increased. Using 100% pure Spectra fibers provides the highest strength-to-
weight ratio possible. See chart. The tight overbraid also has the added benefit of stiffening the line, thereby minimizing the tendency for the line to ‘self-knot’ if the kite collapses.Sold as carefully looped, precision measured pairs to be combined with equivalent lengths of either >
