This heavy double-ply composite is not thermo-set, thereby allowing the welding of seams and accessories. At Pennel & Flipo , we have developed a strong composite of PU and double-ply poly-ester to be used as permanent boom. You can achieve easier deployment given the increased suppleness of our formula- tion. Also, most competitors’ fabrics are press-coated, allowing threads to move to the sur-face of the coating which permits water and pollutants to infiltrate, thereby reducing the abrasion resistance and the mechanical properties down the road.
