There are some special features that make our torches safe: Peli Lights are built of ABS Resin, Xenoy®, CNC-machined aluminum, and other special materials which make them extremely resistant to shock, drops, chemicals and other extreme conditions. You can tell it's a Peli Light by its patented faceted body. Innovations such as our battery polarity tray make operating the light impossible if one or more cells are inverted. Available on selected models, this feature safeguards against dangerous "outgassing" from an accidentally reversed cell. In addition to this safety feature, some models include an 'boat umbrella valve', which allows the pressure inside to escape while preventing water from entering. Another industry first is the addition of Gas-Absorbing Pellets to Peli™ lamp modules.
