Osagian pride.

At Osagian, we’ve been crafting and testingcanoes for over 30 years. Fanatic enthusiasts ourselves, we’ve come to view what we produce as not only an art form, but an experience ... in which canoeist, water and canoe all become one. Now, we know, coming from the Ozarks as we do, that may seem a bit “Zen-like” and far fetched. But we also know that if you love canoeing half as much as we do, you know exactly what we mean.In an Osagian canoe, each stroke takes youfarther, faster, straighter ... almost without effort. We use only the best materials like durable, lightweight top-grade aircraft aluminum and the finest hardwoods. Performance and safety features like our true, full-length welded keel and hydrodynamic side sponsons are built-in. We know what it takes to deliver real-world performance, enhancing every aspect of your canoeing experience. It takes more work to craft a canoe that way.But it’s the only way we know. For the reliability, maneuverability andperformance you deserve, your Osagian is the trusted, familiar experience that will keep canoeing your lifelong joy. Wow! When the early French trappersentered the Ozarks and encountered the Osage Indians they were awestruck! The Osage were fiercely proud and majestic, with the men averaging well over 6 feet in height. Their strength and endurance was legendary and beyond compare. Osage Territory spanned all of Missouri, where they controlled both the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers, and extended south into Arkansas, encompassing all the Ozarks many freshwater lakes, game-rich mountains and its fast, clear running streams and rivers. They called themselves Ni-U-Kon-Ska. “Children of the Middle Waters.”So, it’s no accident that the Osage heritagefound its way into our thinking when we designed and built our first sturdy aluminum canoe over 30 years ago.A classically handsome profile. Superiorload-bearing balance, strength and maneuverability. All handcrafted with experience and pride to provide unyielding durability and legendary performance through decades of fun-filled abuse.
