Text version of the page
Launched last year, the SuperYacht Division of OceanLED was greatly welcomed by some of the most pres- tigious shipyards worldwide, with a large number of new builds under- way expect to see the Superyachts of 2008 onward illuminated by Ocean- LED.The SuperYacht Division is project managed case by case and is capable of making custom weld-in fixtures and complete electrical systems for each yacht. The division echoes the ethos the company was founded on – to create the most technically ad- vanced LED underwater lighting sys- tems tailored to each yacht. All OceanLED underwater lights are Lloyds approved and new and cus- tom products are currently undergo- ing the classification as well. A shipyard can either utilize our 3 step delivery program which ensures the latest tecnology for each new build or a system can be supplied as a complete package, whichever best suits your needs. If you want the very best there is, then OceanLED is your answer.

There are a variety of options of Mold -IN and Weld-In lights available.

Choose from the original 3010 design with a small 1” hole penetration requiring minimal space insidethe hull. Or the latest more advanced F-1 Series, totally independent of water cooling with the majority of hull angling achieved from inside the hull reducing the need for long cofferdams. And for the first time, light generated from the LEDs is optically coupled to the water, utilizing the latest state of the art optical gels thereby increasing light output by a further 12%. Also available is the AG Series where the entire light assembly is mounted from outside the hull into cofferdams, and bolted in place - ideal for yachts where access internally is impossible. There are two options for custom GRP hulls that are looking for the ultimate in streamlining. A pocket is molded into the hull and the light then sits in this out of the water flow. Two options available, see over. The soon to be released OceanLED color changing system is set to take custom underwater lighting to a whole new level of atmospheric and visual delight. With a theoretical limit of up to 14 million color op- tions, the ‘Color Change’ from OceanLED will be totally computer programmable from on board the yacht, to offer every combination from sophisticated gradual shades of color shift, to disco fever underwater party lights and full dimming capabilities.Check press for details later this year.

The 3 step process works as follows:Step 1

- is the ‘hot’ metal work program; the welding of the supplied cofferdams into the ships hull.

Step 2

– The electrical installation; Custom cable lengths and the cabinet driver system allows unique customization for every mid to large sized project. The cabinet system allows for all the electronics and wiring to be factory fitted by OceanLED, and the cabinet can then be conveniently located in the yacht in an easily accessible area whilst individual cabling can run from 2 to 500 metres to the lights.

Step 3

– The final light installation; prior to launching the yacht, the Marine led light body can be delivered to the yard and fitted to the cofferdam. This ensures the latest LEDs and optical techniques have been used. Gone are the days of a two year build project being technologically out of date at launching.
