Networked radar systems combine high performance scanners and microwave technology with the very latest in digital radar processing.
With scanner options ranging from a 2 kW/18" radome up to a 25 kW/84" array there is a High Definition Digital Northstar Radar suitable for your boat.
CHART OVERLAY
With an optional heading sensor, radar brings a wealth of important information to the skipper's attention swiftly and accurately.
GUARD-ZONE ALARMS
If any target detected by the radar enters a user-defined area on the display, the system will alert you to its presence.
STC CURVES
Digital Sensitivity Time Control (STC) curves reject clutter by setting minimum thresholds that consider return strength and distance.
COLOR PALETTES
Different color palettes allow better distinction of target returns, depending on viewing conditions.
CHOOSING A SCANNER
Radomes are compact and lightweight, making them ideal for sail boats and small powerboats where space and power supply are limited.
An open array boat antenna will deliver better range and detail because of its higher power and narrow beam width.
The effective range of any scanner increases when mounted higher on your boat. The power of a scanner is also an indicator of its range.
