HIGH PRESSURE TECHNOLOGY Four years ago, North introduced the High Pressure Technology in series production and continually optimized the manufacturing process ever since. In this construction, a CNC-cut core is placed between glass fiber sheets, a highly resistant top sheet and ABS sidewalls and then subjected to a pressure of 85 tons! This process permits us to achieve extreme durability at a very low weight. Two different varieties of this construction are used to produce our new product generation: Asymmetrical Step Cap is our tried and tested basic construction. The heelside is a little stiffer for a good pop and edge grip, while the toeside is softer for easy carving! 3D Sandwich Cap is the result of four years experience with High Pressure Techno-logy and the latest trends in boat board design. The combination of ABS sidewalls with a variable thickness and a 3D profile allows us to create individual flex properties in the various areas of the board, depending on the desired riding characteristics! The flex tips were reinforced with diagonal ribs to create a more aggressive edge grip with a softer longitudinal flex.
ROCKETFISH TECHNOLOGY Custom EPS / PVC sandwich Thanks to its similarity to a surfboard, the Rocketfish is equipped with a relatively big volume compared to the twin tips. In order to minimize the board weight, however, we have provided the board with a custom EPS / PVC sandwich construction derived from windsurfing board technology. An extremely lightweight EPS core is processed with PVC panels to a sandwich core providing for a high level of stiffness with a small density by volume. The sandwich core is then laminated using epoxy laminate.
