Why Nordskog Performance Products?
• Made in the U.S.A. - We proudly maintain our manufacturing facility in Orange County, California
• Limited Lifetime Warranty - We confidently offer a limited lifetime warranty. We use LED lighting in both our digital and analog gauges. These lights outlast all fluorescent and incandescent forms of lights. Our limited lifetime warranty guarantees the original purchaser that if an instrument fails, we will repair or replace it!
• Safety - The electronic senders are located at the source, so oil and other pressure lines do not intrude in side the cockpit. An electric wire replaces this line.
• Performance - We have eliminated pointer bounce and increased the viewable "sweep" of the gauge for better visibility. We have also added warning lights and user-controlled outputs to warn of potential problems. Our gauges analyze and interpret as well as display!
• Digital accuracy - Electronic, microprocessor controls assure the highest level of accuracy in both our digital and analog instruments. Conversely, other mechanical gauges are subject to changes in operating temperature, atmospheric pressure, pressure line obstructions and more.
• What gets measured, gets managed - Programmable output wires allow you to manage, not just monitor the information. These output wires can be used to turn on shift lights, fans, warning alarms and lights. Our gauges will tell you when something is not right!
• Special features - Digital technology allows us to include features not available on other gauges, such as recalling high and low measurement points, speedometers that include 0-60 time, v4 mile ET and high speed recall. Also, our tachometers are available with memory recall for the top RPM and more!
BOB "IRONMAN" NORDSKOG
One word defines our founder, Bob Nordskog, throughout his illustrious racing career: longevity. "The Ironman" as he was known, established a reputation for doing it all himself, setting ocean-endurance records at an age when most of us are retired. That he raced until a month before his death at the age of 79 in 1992 was a testament to the drive that propelled him to a record 51 victories in offshore boat racing. During a 43-year career, he earned 162 checkered flags and set 50 records in six different boat racing disciplines. In 1935 on Muroc dry lake, he set a still-standing land-speed record of 125 mph in a Model T Ford. On the water, he established 6 diesel speed records on the same day (March 5, 1978), plus numerous endurance marks, including San Francisco-to-Los Angeles and Canada-to-Mexico. In 1986, he earned the American Power boat Association's highest accolade, being inducted into the organization's Honor Squadron. In addition, Bob was posthumously inducted into the prestigious Motorsports Hall of Fame on June 4, 1997.
Bob Nordskog succeeded, in fact, in everything he did. A lifelong resident of Los Angeles, Bob utilized his knack for mechanical engineering while working for Northrup and Lockheed, where he specialized in rebuilding damaged aircraft. While there, Bob worked on Howard Hughes' Lockheed Model 14 and the Spruce Goose. In 1951, Bob launched Nordskog Industries, ultimately one of the world's leading manufacturers of airline equipment. In 1970, he launched the Nordskog Competition Center, which introduced the Speed-O-Meter, our first gauge. Today's Nordskog Performance Products is a direct descendent of the Competition Center, and we still specialize in ultrahigh performance instruments such as our patented BOAT GPS Speedometer. We honor Bob Nordskog's legacy in the name, and philosophy, of our company
