| | | How long a person can survive in cold water largely depends on both the water's temperature and the thermal insulation of the victim's protective clothing. To create the most effective protection attainable, Mustang begins by evaluating the clothing's Immersed Clo values which depict the level of thermal insulation a garment provides. Simply speaking, we determine the rate at which heat is lost from the body, as well as the difference in temperature between skin and water.
