| | | Mustang's MSF750 Constant Wear Aviation Dry Suit provides protection from hypothermia (when worn in conjunction with an insulating thermal under-garment) and is intended for use by aircrews engaged in over-water operations. The moisture vapor permeability characteristics of the suit reduce heat stress, providing greater operational efficiency for the wearer. The MSF750's one-piece design is fitted with high stretch, soft latex seals at the neck and wrists. Waterproof moisture vapor permeable stretch socks are provided with the suit. These socks are normally fitted by technicians at the unit level to ensure correct sizing. (Mustang can provide the MSF750 with socks attached.) A full set of pocketry eliminates the need for a conventional flight suit to be worn over the MSF750. Self-donning is facilitated by a unique yoke-style waterproof entry zipper. The design minimizes pressure point discomfort and maximizes compatibility with other operational equipment. | | | Mustang's MSD720 "Quick-Don" is an excellent blend of ergonomic design and emergency hazards protection. It is conveniently stored, easily and quickly donned and very effective in protecting the user in the event of cold water immersion.The Quick-Don is an insulated, hypothermia protective, heat protective, quick-donning garment intended for use by aircrew and passengers operating over water. The standard 2mm neoprene suit packs into its small nylon case for convenient storage on-board the aircraft.The suit is specifically engineered for use in long range maritime patrol and transport aircraft, but also performs well as a helicopter passenger suit. The Quick-Don is fitted with a horizontal, "across-the-chest" waterproof entry zipper for easy self-donning. The watertight design is facilitated by the fitting of high stretch, soft latex seals at the neck and wrists. Seals are replaceable by technicians at the unit level. Insulated, three finger thermal protective gloves are provided in readily accessible storage pockets on the sleeves. An insulated thermal protective hood, stored in the thigh pocket, can be donned to minimize heat loss through the head. Adjustable straps at the waist and ankles gather in excess suit material for a close fit. Integrated boots will accommodate regular footwear. The carry case assists in maintaining the compact size of the stowed suit with three circumferential suppression straps. Donning instructions are clearly marked. | | Materials Suit insulation is provided by a closed cell expanded neoprene, laminated to a stretch nylon facing on front and back. The neoprene insulation is buoyant, waterproof, hydrostatic compression, petroleum, oils, and lubricants. The nylon facing provides good resistance to abrasion and puncture, and allows for easier donning. Footsoles are available in soft textured neoprene, or rigid non-slip for passenger issue and regular use. Hypothermia Protection The quick-donning immersion coverall is an insulated, watertight dry suit. Flotation The 2 mm suit provides 14 lbs effective buoyancy.
