Cuando el 26 de septiembre de 1978 D. Juan Sastre Bernat fundó la empresa Astilleros Menorca, su objetivo era el de construir una serie de embarcaciones que uniesen los valores de la construcción tradicional con las ventajas de las más modernas tecnologías. En los años transcurridos desde entonces, la evolución del astillero ha sido constante, tanto en lo referente a la capacidad constructiva como a la creación de una nueva gama de cruceros que, sin perder las características diferenciales del tradicional “llaüt”, permitan desarrollar mayores cotas de velocidad, sin por ello perder los valores propios de un casco de semidesplazamiento. Y así nacieron los Menorquín Yachts, barcos que resultan seguros y confortables, con un suave paso de la ola y una enorme estabilidad; que ofrecen una gran habitabilidad y el máximo equipamiento, dentro de su clásica elegancia; que permiten largas travesías, gracias a su autonomía y a sus dotes marineras; que mantienen su valor, al no estar sujetos a modas pasajeras. Menorquín Yachts es, en esencia, una “Cuestión de Confianza”. On September 26, 1978 D. Juan Sastre founded the company Astilleros Menorca. His goal was to build boats that combined the best of both the traditional styling and sea worthiness with the advantages of new technologies in both materials and construction techniques. Since then, the shipyard has been characterized by a constant evolution in both its construction techniques and the creation of a new range of boats, without compromising any of the typical characteristics of the traditional “llaut”, yet creating a semi-displacement hull with much greater speed and stability.
