| Juan Carlos Espinosa is a licensed, registered Architect in both the states of Florida and Illinois. He received his Bachelor of Architecture and Urban Planning degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1985. Mr. Espinosa was first exposed to the field of yacht design while employed by a Chicago firm commissioned to design what would be, in 1985, the largest aluminum mega-yacht in the United States. Ever since, JC, as Mr. Espinosa is known in the industry, has dedicated his efforts exclusively to the exterior and interior styling of the custom yacht and production boat industries. The firm's design work is published regularly by the most prominent publications in the field. McKlnna Yachts and JC Espinosa began collaborating back in 1997 when McKinna Yachts decided to give their whole line of production yachts a "fresh start". To that effect, Espinosa provided a new modern-elegant look that was followed by a complete re-engineering of the product line including: systems, materials, workmanship and above all the implementation of stringent quality control to guarantee the complete success of the "new line" The directive to JC was simple, to provide a modern-stylish exterior design that would house a functional and open arrangement. Furthermore, the interiors should sport finely detailed joinerwork, exotic wood veneers, leathers, stones and appointments usually found on much larger and more expensive yachts. Given JC's experience in the megayacht field, the new McKinna yachts reflect the elegance and attention to detail that is commonly found in "megayachts" such as those he has designed in the past. McKinna and Espinosa are producing new models on an ongoing basis and look forward to producing the best value yachts in the market place.
