Utilizing a brushless servo motor/servo gear head combination the AltaLink™ offers a very fine control of the catalyst feed during injection, adjusting the catalyst percentage "on the fly".
From the OptiLogic™ Control, the operator inputs the size of the resin shot in pounds or kilograms, and then inputs the starting and ending catalyst percentages. The OptiLogic™ Control uses this information to calculate the number of servo moves and frequency of moves based on the volume of the shot. The controller then uses feedback from the resin pump for boats to control the position of the servo motor.
The servo utilizes very precise resolver feedback from the motor to insure proper catalyst position. Position moves are in 1/16% catalyst increments throughout the programmed catalyst range.
NOTE: The AltaLink™ requires a version of the OptiLogic™ Control. Technical Specifications
