The following adjustments also changes the kite’s angle of attack (AOA) The flight characteristics can be modified: Before launching : modifying the line connections on the Tip Pigtails In flight: adjusting the Trim and Bar position Connection Lines - Pigtail ThePigtails have two knots: one near the kite (A) and one lower down (B) >
FRONT BACK
Less power / for stronger wind More power / for lighter wind More power / for lighter wind Less power / for stronger wind Caution: Fix the 2 Front pigtails (Left/right) of the Front Lines in the same position and on the same knot Fix the 2 Rear pigtails (Left/right) of Back Lines in the same position and on same knot If you don’t the kite will not fly properly The adjustments on the Pigtails and the different connection points of the lines, can be mixed for the best compromise to
marine suit the kiter’s style, wind and water conditions. Standard set-up Lighter wind Stronger wind Front knot B knot B knot A Back knot B knot A knot B With the Pig Tail Adjustment you can fix the kite flight in general, depending by the wind conditions. When the kite has been launched you can’t change the pigtail connections; if something isn’t right, return immediately to the beach, land the kite and adjust the kite in the correct way. Adjusting the TRIM will affect the kite flying characteristics as follows: Pulling the red handle (higher) = less kite power – lower turning speed Pulling the black handle (lower) = more kite power - higher turning speed The Kiteloose Trim has two depower levels: First Level: Pull the red handle with a small step to reduce the kite power until you find the right setting. Second level: Pull the red handle until it doesn’t slide anymore.Grab the Trim Strap above the red handle and pull down: The power will be further reduced and the kite speed will be reduced too. To power up the kite, pull the black handle: The trim will slide, and the kite will have more power. If you need a more “fine” regulation, pull the black strap between the upper handle and the buckle : the strap slide slower. You use the BAR to control kite direction (right/left) and kite power (only if the C-Loop is connected at the
boat harness). The Bar has the left side RED and the right part BLUE; when you connect the lines to the kite, make sure the RED line is on your left side. The bar has a hole in the middle where the depower
marine rope and safety line pass. If you pull on the left side (Red) of the bar, the kite will turn left; pulling on right side (Blue) makes the kite turn right. Pushing the bar away from the C-loop, will depower the kite. Pulling the bar towards the C-loop, will power up the kite. These movements can be simultaneous, to help kite control. The new TWISTER SWIVEL C-LOOP lets you do left and right rotations without the lines twisting. You can also kite unhooked but connected to the safety system. Before every launch check that the: - Red Safety Ball is at your right side and the release works perfectly - Safety line can slide freely inside the swivel and hasn’t got any twists that can stop it sliding properly. The RED BALL for the emergency release is on the right: if in trouble, pull it and the kite will lose power instantly. If the release is released, you can reconnect the safety . If you cannot reconnect, turn the C-Loop upside down and hook the harness hook into the big hole. That will let you get back to the beach. On the front part there is the swivel and the front piece the depower rope is connected. The rear piece has a hole that lets the safety line pass. The safety is held on the C-loop by the Velcro. If you use the Emergency Hook-In, you can’t activate any
release system. If you need to disconnect from the kite, you will have to unhook manually from the harness hook. When you are in the Emergency Hook-In, only ride safe, depower the kite and return immediately to the beach, landing the kite; stay away from obstacles. This plastic tube prevents the C-Loop unhooking accidentally from the Harness Hook. >
