Bag – to recover the kite after use Repair Kit Chicken Loop –ring to connect at the
boat harness Bar – to control the kite power and direction Leader Lines + Floaters – to adjust line length difference Lines – connects bar and kite, to control it Leading Edge Bridles - LEdge shape support Depower
Boat rope – Rope that connects the C-Loop and the Trim Trim – to tune the kite power Safety – lets you release the kite in a dangerous situation, neutralizing the kite power Safety Leash – holds the kite after Safety release C-Loop Plastic Tube – to fix the C-Loop at the Harness Spreader Bar ? Take the kite out of the bag and lay it on the beach with the struts facing up, and the leading Edge facing into the wind. ? Make sure there are no rocks or other sharp objects on the beach: these can cut the canopy or struts. ? Use the Pump to begin to inflate the tips struts; when inflated, disconnect the pump, close the valve and start inflating the second one and so on. ? When you start inflating, check the bladders are positioned perfectly inside the struts. To check, just inflate the bladder a little and move the air inside the bladder with your hands, pressing it a little. Check the Struts-Leading Edge connection and the back part of the struts: the bladder must fill the angles completely. After checking everything is ok, inflate to the right flying pressure (around 6 PSI). ? Make sure you close the valve plugs properly. ? DON’T PRESS THE VALVES INSIDE THE BLADDERS. ? When all the struts are inflated, start inflating the Leading Edge; use the INFLATE valve and make sure the bigger DEFLATE valve is closed. To stop the kite flying away, use the pump leash. Continue to inflate until the leading edge remains stiff and doesn’t fold when you try folding it near the third strut. ? Don’t over-inflate the bladders as this can damage them. ? Don’t leave the kite in the sun for a long time: when the air inside the bladders it heats up it will expand and can make the bladders explode. When you have inflated the kite, turn it over and place it on the beach with the Leading Edge facing the wind. To stop it accidental flying away, put sand on the canopy from the side of the Leading Edge. ? Unwind the lines off the bar, walking upwind away from the kite. ? Put the bar on the beach with the red side on your left (facing the kite) and make sure the C-loop, Depower, Trim, and Safety are free of tangles and set out properly as shown in the design ? Lay out the lines, walking towards the kite. Make sure the lines aren’t twisted around and the configuration is: Red (left), Black (Front), Blue or other color (Right) ? Check that the front line (black) that is connected at the Trim Ring stays on the middle. ? Re-check that there are no twists or crossed lines. ? Now you can connect the lines to the kite bridles. For the correct connections, see the design. ? Before connecting lines to pigtails, check that kite bridles are in the right position and don’t have twist or knots. View from below >
Check the lines for the last time before launching the kite and if in doubt, ask an expert kiter to help you double-check.
