Before to start the assembling, bring the following precaution : ? Lay the marine board down on a soft surface (grass, carpet). ? Don’t lay the board on sand, ‘cause sand grain can make the assembling not perfect. ? Be careful that the surface where you lay down the board is clean and there isn’t rocks, sharp objects etc ? Be sure that during the screws assembling (for straps and handle), the screw enter inside the insert perfectly vertical. If the screwing feel hard, unscrew and check well the screw position . ? Soul has two holes couple for Footstrap assembling.Find your best assembling position, taking care of your height and riding style : Front position for a “softer riding”, Back position for a more “H-Core riding” . Light wind conditions prefers front assembling. The Footstrap wider sides have to be placed : for front Footstrap in board nose direction, for back Footstrap in tail direction. ? Insert on the strap hole at the ends the retainer and the screw. ? If necessary, open the Velcro and enlarge the Footstrap size for more easy assembling. ? Insert now the screw inside the board insert. Be sure about the screw vertical position. ? DON’T SCREW TOO TIGHT, just a little to permit the strap rotation and fitting ? Do the same for the other Footstrap screw. ? Tight now both screws, to make the Footstrap well fixed. ? Assemble now the back Footstrap in the same way, remembering thar wide part has to be in tail direction. ? Move the Velcro to reach the best foot fitting. ? When you have reach the best foot fitting, screw up with force to have Footstraps completely rock solid without any movement. ? Remember that with wet foot, the foot sliding is more easy; so when you regulate the Footstrap, it can be a little bit more close. ? Soul fin set present three fins, completely different one from the others : A central fin, with both lateral surfaces shaped A right-side fin, with left inside surface flat A left-side fin, with right inside surface flat ? Begin the assembling from the central fin. ? Two position available: front or back Front position : less speed, closer carving, fast and short waves Back position : more speed, larger carving, more control, big waves ? Insert the plastic keeper in the central fin box : in back position if you assemble the fin on front position, in front position if the fin is assembled on back position ? Insert now Hole-hidder on the opposite place where the screw will fix the fin ? Insert now the fin on the fin box, checking that it will enter perfectly. ? Insert the screw and screw-up ? Now we assemble the right front fin (considering the board upside-down) ? You can choose between three different fin position : Close : fin nose more on the inside = radical manoeuvres, fast and powerful, small waves Middle : fin nose in middle position = standard, all round riding Open : fin nose more on the outside = more speed, larger carving, more upwind, big waves and stronger winds ? Choose the position and remember that the inside surface is the flat one ? Insert the fin on the fin box and check well that front joint is ok ? Insert the screw and screw it up ? Do the same with Left front fins SIDE FINS - MULTI ANGLES SETTINGS CENTRAL FIN FRONT POSITION BACK POSITION - 1° = CLOSE = SMALL AND FAST WAVES 0° = STANDARD = ALL ROUND + 1° = OPEN = BIG WAVES, + CONTROL
