| Life Begins at 55. You have heard the saying before, but at Kadey-Krogen Yachts there's a special meaning. "Life Begins at 55'" launches our new Expedition series, with the completion of the first Krogen 55'. While all current production Kadey-Krogen trawler yachts are proven bluewater passagemakers, the Krogen 55' is an Expedition-style globetrotter (Expedition-style meaning that the pilothouse is on top of the salon/galley area). The term "galley" does not do the 55' Expedition's justice. She has a kitchen that rivals that found in many homes: a Viking range, Jenn-Air refrigerator, Meile dishwasher and a convection microwave are standard-and just like in a house, there is room for more than one person in the kitchen. There's even a display cabinet for stemware or dishes. | The Krogen 55' Expedition begins with our Pure Full Displacement™ hull featuring masterful displacement-to-length ratios, a fine water-cutting entry and perfected end-to-end symmetry including the signature "wineglass" transom-all producing an easy to handle yacht with an incomparable ride. Like every Kadey-Krogen, she has true architectural integrity meaning that she was not created by adding a section to an existing hull like other builders do, a practice that does no justice to the boat or boat buyer.
