We at Kevlacat strive to build the finest catamaran on the water, period. Using the latest technology and construc- tion materials ensures that Kevlacat ex- ceeds the latest international boat building standards. Kevlacats have several key features that distinguish them from competitors catamarans. Everything on a Kevlacat is hand glassed together, the hull to the floor, cap to the hull, even the coolers are hand glassed to the floor, which creates a one-piece construction. Because of the incredible strength hand glassing creates Kevlacat is able to offer a limited lifetime hull warranty. Not many companies will stand behind their products like that! Kevlacats also use extensive amounts of Kevlar in their boats. Kevlar is about 50% lighter and 100% stronger than a comparable thickness of fiber- glass resulting in a lighter and stronger hull. The use of Kevlar in our boats allows the owner to mount smaller and more economical engines, providing better performance and fuel efficiency. Unlike most power catamaran manu- factures that claim to use Kevlar in their hulls in strategic locations, Kevlacat uses a minimum of one full layer (that’s rub rail to rub rail, bow to stern) in all of our hulls. For added safety all Kevlacats are made to be virtually unsink- able. To accomplish this, each bulkhead is individually sealed and marine foam filled to create maximum floatation.Kevlacats feature an Arch tunnel design, which has several benefits over the competition. First is that the arch is the strongest architectural design. Which translates into NO stress cracks in the hull. The second advantage of the arch is that it allows the compressed air to integrate itself back into the water rather than “sneezing” out the front of the boat. The last but not least advantage of the Arch design is that it allows for more volume of air to be trapped or compressed to give you a larger cushion when waters are rough. Another advantage Kevlacats have over competitors is it’s full plaining hull. There are several reasons why a full plaining hull is more valuable to offshore fishermen. The first is that a plaining hull is much faster than a displace- ment hull, and who wants to be last to their favorite spot? The second reason is that a plaining hull creates signifi- cantly less resistance while under way, which translates into less stress on the motors, less fuel consumption, and longer engine life. The third reason a plaining hull is better for offshore fishing is that because a plaining hull rides on top of the water rather than thru it, you do not “burry the nose” in rough water like you would in a displacement hull.Because Kevlacat offers the customer a limited lifetime warrantee Kevlacats enjoy one of the highest resale values on the market.
