Intersleek 386 Elastomeric Tie Coat PRODUCT DESCRIPTION A three pack, silicone elastomer foul release tie coat. INTENDED USES To promote adhesion between the specified priming system and the Intersleek 425 finish coat. Also used as the primer for Intersleek 425 finish coat on rubber substrates. Intersleek 386 Elastomeric Tie Coat SYSTEMS AND COMPATIBILITY Consult your International Paint representative for the system best suited for the surfaces to be protected. SURFACE PREPARATIONS Use in accordance with the standard Worldwide Marine Specifications. All surfaces to be coated should be clean, dry and free from contamination. High pressure fresh water wash or fresh water wash, as appropriate, and remove all oil or grease, soluble contaminants and other foreign matter in accordance with SSPC-SP1 solvent cleaning. Mixing Material is supplied in 3 containers as a unit. Always mix a complete unit in the proportions supplied. (1) Agitate Part A with a power agitator. (2) Combine entire contents of Part A and Part B and mix thoroughly with a power agitator. (3) Add entire contents of Part C and mix thoroughly with a power agitator. Once the unit has been mixed, it must be used within the working pot life specified. Not recommended. Use International GTA007 only in exceptional circumstances. Intersleek 386 Elastomeric Tie Coat LIMITATIONS Minimum acceptable substrate temperature at the time of application is +5°C. A minimum Relative Humidity of 30% is required to ensure satisfactory curing. Longer cure times will be required if the Relative Humidity falls below 30%. Care should be taken to avoid overspray onto other coated areas. Precautions should be taken to prevent silicone contamination of adjacent areas.
