After the successful launch of our range of rigging hydraulics, our ambitions grew to expand our range of products within the philosophy of what Holmatro stands for: Mastering Power. Our strategy, products and services aim to help our clients succeed with the powers they need. Winches perfectly fit within this philosophy. For this purpose, Holmatro acquired former Meissner winches, well known for their innovative winch designs, know-how and patents. As a class supplier of hydraulics and winches to the Extreme 40 catamarans Holmatro receives feedback from some of the world’s best sailors including Olympians and professionals of the America’s Cup, Volvo Ocean Race and Vendee Globe. These sailors have a finely-tuned feel for the performance and quality of yacht equipment. Our winches have seen intense use on the Extreme 40 racing machines and have mastered the incredible loads they generate. The sailors of teams Alinghi, BMW Oracle, Ecover, Gitana and Groupama have actively participated in the development of our new range of winches.
