Failsafe system to provide protection against lack of oil pressure and overheating. Fan for hot air extraction from under the sound enclosure. Each set factory tested and sprayed in blue hammer, heat resistant paint. The sound enclosure is of substantial construction, combining the best use of GRP and Balsa Wood. Lead sheeting is laminated into the glass fibre structure to improve the acoustic performance. Noise reduction is considerable, bearing in mind the small dimensions and the low weight. The new cocooned set incorporates all relevant features to simplify installation on board. All services to and from the cocoon have external connections to ease service access and increase cost effectiveness. Waste Energy The radiated hot air created as a result of engine heat radiation and cooling of the alternator windings is expelled from the cover via an engine driven fan. This waste heat can be utilised for warm air heating on board. HFL offer a separate heating kit which allows for easy installation. Do not attempt your own modification without consulting HFL first since poisonous exhaust emission has to be considered.
