Hull Structure Exterior and Interior Finish

• Twin diesel, freshwater-cooled main engines with electrically controlled marine gears, neutral interlocks, exhaust silencers, engine hour meters, alternators, fuel filters and seawater strainers• Main shafts - 4-1/2” Alloy 22 HS high strength• Manganese bronze struts• Heavy-duty bronze engine couplings with sacrificial zinc anodes• 7-blade Michigan Nibral propellers Steering System Stringers Interior Woodwork Main Propulsion System • Hydraulic power closed-center system• Dual hydraulic power cylinders• Single hydraulic servo cylinder• Engine-driven hydraulic pumps on each engine• Rudders, stainless-steel with 4” diameter shafts with zinc anodes • Hatteras designed bronze dripless rudder stuffing boxes with Thordon bearings• • Main longitudinal stringers are fiberglass hat-shaped sections laminated to hull bottom• Stringers are filled with closed-cell urethane foam• Steel is incorporated in laminate at key locations to bolt engine mounts • Customer and/or his representative to view and approve standard finish samples or select alternatives with the Hatteras Yachts Interiors department• Standard woods include American Select black cherry, African mahogany or maple in satin or high-gloss polyester finish Bilges • Painted white, polyurethane Freshwater Wash Down System Engine Room Exhaust System • Supplied from main freshwater system • Wash down outlets, bow deck, aft deck, flybridge with Hatteras patented quick disconnect • Exposed fiberglass and wood painted white, polyurethane • Engine exhaust exits through hull side near transom• Marine generator exhaust, water separator Air Conditioning System Bulkheads • Chilled water air conditioning with reverse-cycle boat heating, with soft starting AC compressors, automatically staged and individually controlled with SMX controls• One pump circulates conditioned water through closed circulating freshwater piping system to each air handler/exchanger• Each compartment to be heated and cooled furnished with one or more air handlers as appropriate for compartment’s size and use with humidistats• Conditioned water flows through or by-passes air handler as determined and controlled by each compartment’s individual thermostat• Master control panel located in pilothouse and master stateroom for selection of heating or cooling mode • Engine room bulkheads are of resin- infused composite construction using fiberglass and PVC foam• Other main bulkheads are of resin- infused composite construction using PVC foam core with layers of fiberglass laminate on each side Fuel System • U.L. Marine listed fiberglass fuel tanks constructed with fire-retardant resin with bronze fittings and coated with fire-retardant paint • SAE J 1942/1 listed and approved fuel lines from day and auxiliary tanks to and from a manifold for each engine• 24-volt DC fuel pumps with remote priming switches Decks • Main cabin soles are of composite construction using PVC foam core with layers of fiberglass laminate on each side• In appropriate areas, soles may be covered with acoustical treatments Fuel Transfer System

Superstructure

• All above waterline areas are covered with isophthalic polyester gelcoat Gelcoat Fiberglass Laminate • Superstructure is primarily PVC foam cored fiberglass construction• Laminate schedule and PVC foam core thickness and material vary due to stiffness requirements and use Freshwater System • 230-volt AC variable speed freshwater pump with pressure tanks• Dual 230-volt AC 50-gallon and single 15-gallon water heaters• Bacteriostatic central boat water filter with automatic back flush• Water manifold for hot water crossover in case of failure of heater • Cross linked polyethylene water supply pipes with centrally located water manifolds • Back-up freshwater pump with switch and valve • Sea Recovery 1500 gpd marine watermaker Davit • Marquipt (or similar) 1600-pound lift capacity fully hydraulic davit with 12’ boom, located to port for launching of tender to port side only
