Grand Largue, formed in 1998 close to Dinan, specialises in the construction of planked epoxy ply sailing boats to the designs of François VIVIER. To choose a Grand Largue boat is to choose at the same time excellent sailing qualities and classic beauty, giving a truly enjoyable sailing experience. This is thanks to the combination of the expertise of the naval architect, Francois VIVIER, and of the boatbuilders at the yard. Although inspired by tradition, the yard has nonetheless progressively introduced CNC cutting. This makes this form of construction economic and combined with epoxy resin technology, produces boats which are strong and durable with low maintenance. It also makes possible the production of kits which greatly simplify amateur construction. The range currently comprises six models available ready to sail or in kit form. The sense of sailing a performance boat combines with the enjoyment of traditional wood and bronze materials and the joy of easily changing sailing areas, due to the trailabilty of the boats. It is also to appreciate the security of a true sea boat, strong and durable with ease of maintenance due to modern construction techniques. It is my wish to share the enjoyment of this experience with all true sailors through the best of the experience of our yard. Z.A.
