Shelley and I need to make “more boating” a serious goal in 2006! t the close of each year, my wife Shelley and Ibuild a fire in our fireplace and settle in to plan our
calendars, review the past year and set personal
goals for the new year. We’ve established ourselves
soundly in this routine and as a result, we have begun
to do a much better job of balancing our timebetween work, our faith and value-driven personal goals, and rest and relaxation. >

s we updated our goals this past December, I noticed that Shelley hadcreated an extra set of goals titled Fun and Recreation, with one of the fun 2006
goals being more boating. Wow, you wouldn t think a woman whose husband
heads a boat company would have to put more boating on her list of goals, but
stay with me on this one. As we sat there, toasting our feet in front of the fire, we
looked next at the places to go, things to see list that we continuously update.
I noticed that we re putting more places on the list than we re checking off! We have

love working at Formula, and the added benefit of getting to experience somany of our boats first-hand through the course of a year is fantastic. With owner
trips,
boat shows, photo shoots and other company-related trips, I get to experi-
ence a fair share of boating, but I tend to rush back to work after a boat trip, even
when it s been on an incredible body of water witness last year s quick in and out
trips with our Formula owners to the Chesapeake Bay, the Florida Keys and Lake
of The Ozarks. So this year, we ll be writing in some extra days for exploring this
country s beautiful waters on
marine board a Formula. It s a great, fun way to explore new
waterways, especially while staying on board we don t have to tote luggage in
and out of hotels, we can stay at a new port every night and have everything we
need right on board. >

s you balance your work with fun aboard your Formula this spring andsummer, please write or email us and share the beautiful waters you explored! Welove to hear your stories and see your pictures. We hope you will experience
