B/ INSTALLATION OF THE DRUM : C/ FITTING OF THE SHACKLE : The snapshackle should be fitted to a strong point in the bow of the yacht. The reefing line must face aft. The snapshackle can be fixed in position to suit either athwarships or fore and aft attachment by loosening the screw (6mm) inside the drum. To reach the snapshackle screw, remove first the tack screw using 8mm allen key. Once the drum is in the correct position, thighten the snapshackle using the 6mm allen key. We recommend to use the supplied Loctite glue to hold definitively the snapshackle screw in position once you have...

D/ INSTALLATION OF THE SWIVEL E/ FURLING LINE To remove the shackles, both rubber circlips are to be removed first. FACNOR offers an optional spliced furling line kit (see « gennaker furler price list »). We advise you use a furling line of 8 mm diameter for the SDG 1000 PC and 10mm diameter for the SDG 2000 PC. Place the end of the furling line into one of the holes and turn the drum mechanism. The drum will grip the furling line. F/ SAIL ATTACHMENTS H/ FURLING TIPS To fix the tack of the sail, remove the horizontal 8mm screw using the allen key. Fit the tack into the slot and put the screw back to the original position. CAUTION !!! This furler cannot replace the forestay. Make sure that the expected working and breaking loads do not exceed the furler loadings. We recommend you: use an endless line by splicing the furling line; grease the tack screw to ensure easy removal; never use this system as a reefing system, therefore the sail must be completely furled or unfurled; install the gennaker furler on a bowsprit to...
