The Captain’s Choice engines are available in two models: 5.0L/305 c.i.d. V-8 with 275 hp at 5000 rpm and 5.7L/350 c.i.d. V-8 with 330 hp at 5000 rpm. Both models feature a multi-port EFI fuel system, LH/RH rotation, and dimensions of 41.6” length, 28.1” width, and 28.6” height, with a total weight of 950 lbs.
The engines include a full freshwater cooling system with a rear-mounted heat exchanger, an automotive-style belt-driven stainless steel raw water pump, and a thermostatically controlled cooling system.
Features a full freshwater system to prevent corrosion, a free-breathing exhaust manifold, high-level exhaust discharge, and a reversible exhaust riser system.
Equipped with electronic ignition, a 12-volt negative ground system, a high output 70-amp alternator (optional 100 amp), and a manual reset circuit breaker for overload protection.
Provides instant starting, precise throttle response, improved cruising and top-end performance, and increased fuel efficiency.
Includes a knock sensor for low octane adjustment, automatic spark control, lubrication and cooling system monitoring, and a rev limiter.
