HIGH VOLUME CATALYST PUMP The Binks 101-9220 high volume catalyst pump is designed to supply MEK peroxide catalyst at pressures up to 1200 psi (83 bar) when coupled to the Binks "BOSS" FRP pumping system. All components are constructed of long-wearing stainless steel, and seals are made of PTFE, UHMWPE, and silicone rubber. If the pump is maintained and used according to the instructions in this part sheet it will provide years of reliable service. Binks MODEL 101-9220 HIGH VOLUME CATALYST PUMP Before disassembly of products exposed to catalyst, flush thoroughly with water both internally and externally to remove any catalyst residue from product. Begin disassembly by loosening the upper lock nut (15) tightened against the outlet (5). Unscrew the outlet from the cylinder (16), and remove the outlet, rod (7), and piston (10) together as an assembly from the cylinder. Remove the rod end bearing (1) from the rod by holding the flats on the bottom of the rod with a 9/16" wrench and loosen the jam nut (2), then unscrew the rod end bearing....

FINAL ASSEMBLY Install a new o-ring (6) on the cylinder (16). Lube the o-ring and threads on the cylinder and outlet (5). Carefully push piston, rod, and outlet assembly down into cylinder. Thread outlet onto cylinder until it bottoms, then back off no more than 1 turn until NPT port in outlet is aligned with the NPT port in the foot valve. Hold the outlet steady with a wrench to tighten the lock nut against it.
