At Aqua House nothing is leftto chance quality control starts with the choice of supp- liers. For all components and materials needed for the sys- tem, Aqua House specifies strict standards that are con- trolled regularly. All objects undergo strict quality con- trols and are delivered with the CE-certificate (CE - European Community). The technological process is in accordance with specifica- tions. While manufacturing, there are tests at all critical stages using exactly defined protocols for measurements. When mounting and cutting,the cutting accuracy is adjus- ted for the accurate type of glueing and is tested after every hardening process. The final control is made by experienced technicians and last but not least by an inde- pendent authority. Further- more, Aqua House engaged in a partnership with the University of Rostock as inde-pendent institute for testing. Here, materials and construc- tional documents are exami- ned.

The revolutionary plate production To fulfil the high quality standards of the makers of Aqua Houses, new ways had to be explored. No European plate production was able to meet the pres- cribed standards for quali- ty and price. So Aqua House built its own plant for the manufacturing of plates. The epoxy resin tab- le, 25 metres long and 2,5 metres wide, is the largest vacuum laminating table in Europe. The vacuum- and temper technique develo- ped by Aqua House allows the production of plates which come up to even the highest standards of the air-craft industry. A second manu-facturing plant for the pro- duction of granite resin pla- tes is filed for patent and has not been implemented this way in industry before. Over two years of testing and research resulted in the exi- sting quality of the plates. Not without pride the young team looks back on many insi-ders in the sector, who did not think that this result may be reached.

Aluminium,

gets the grip A special aluminium profile has been developed. The pro- files (using the extruded cast technique) are high-strength and salt water resistant. They are used as close-up board aswell as baseboard, its circula- ting notch system allowing for the free placement of bollards and cleats. As most Aqua hou-ses are based at one place for the long-term, special fixing systems had to be developed,like marine pile locks and quay sidesliders, that prevent squea-ling and creaking and guaran-tee for a safe position evenduring storms.
