3. With your finger, lift up on the edge of the battery op­posite the gold contact and remove the battery.
4. Inspect the gold contact and small spring contact for signs of bending, breakage or cor­rosion. If you find any signs of damage, return the unit to your authorized dealer and do not attempt to use it.
5. Using a clean, dry, lint-free cloth, wipe the sealing area of the battery compartment. Inspect to make sure it is completely clean and dry.
