The advanced hydrodynamic hull design incorporates a reverse transom and step stern to reduce drag and increase lift. Our STAR is designed to centrally position the rower, while evening out the distribution of fore and aft hull volume. This provides equal buoyancy at the entry and release of the stroke to reduce pitch and drag. The flat bottom of the hull provides stability while the slightly flared bow provides lift over waves, helping the rower to maintain a powerful, even stroke.
