The Elektron B1 Ultra is a special purpose machine used for cutting and sealing the edges of synthetic fabric. Ultrasonic cutting is popular in the manufacture of window furnishings, window shades or blinds where a clean cut, fray-free cut edge is required. Unlike conventional semi-manual ultrasonic cutters, the Elektron B1 Ultra cuts all sides of a shape without moving fabric from the table… and you are not limited to just simple rectangular shapes. The Elektron B1 Ultra can also cut more than one pattern from a length of fabric, leading to productivity improvements of better than 300%. And of course mistakes and waste are reduced and quality improved. The Elektron B1 Ultra is an Elektron B1 cutter fitted with an ultrasonic tool and generator, so the Elektron B1 is already a very capable machine, able to carry a wide range of bayonet mounted tools. The ultrasonic tool can be removed from the bayonet tool holder (a 10 second process) and exchanged for any standard Aeronaut bayonet tool including creasing and scoring tools, drag blades, rotary blades and powered tools such as reciprocating blade cutters. The Elektron B1 Ultra can be supplied with a multi-zone table enabling ultrasonic and conventional blade cutting on the one economical machine. For a machine which is dedicated to ultrasonic cutting, or for dual ultrasonic and blade cutting system where only cutting and marking is required (i.e. no automatic tool changes on a job), the Elektron B1 is the perfect choice.
