Sealant Tape 5354 Technical Data Product Description • 3M™ Weatherban™ Sealant Tape 5354 is a high tack extruded synthetic rubber, non-curing sealant in tape form. • It can be used to seal between glass, metal, wood and many plastics. • Easy to compress and has exceptional cold flow resistance. • Good adhesion to dry surfaces and will stay in place when positioned vertically, overhead or around sharp corners. • Low moisture vapor transmission. Typical Physical Properties Note: The following technical information and data should be considered representative or typical only and should not be used for specification purposes. Base: Color: Specific Gravity: Handling/Application Information Synthetic Rubber • Surfaces to be sealed must be clean, dry and free of grease, oil, or contaminants. • Carefully align sealant tape 5354 directly on surface to be sealed as it is removed from the roll. Repositioning will usually cause distortion of the sealant. • Press the sealant tape 5354 in place, remove and discard the liner. • Care should be taken not to allow two pieces of sealant tape 5354 to come in contact as they will adhere and require cutting to separate. • Excess sealant tape 5354 may be removed by cutting with a sharp knife or razor blade moistened with water.
